Day 1.
Fly into Marrakech We will collect everyone from here.
Transfer to the Jnane Mogador hotel in the heart of
the city. Build bikes, explore the city if you want,
then dinner. Getting to bed early is hard, you'll
be buzzing with excitement and trying to digest so
much information. You'll want to stay and immerse
yourself in the city even more...But don't worry,
you'll be back here later in the week!
Day 2.
Marrakech is already close to the Atlas mountains
so we only have a short transfer of 90 minutes in
the 4x4 to the Ourika Valley, possible one of the
most stunning in Morocco! This is the start of the
riding on the first day. We meet up with the 4x4
at around 2 o'clock for lunch in the mountains.
After lunch we head for Timichi for the night. This
trail is a good introduction of what's to come:
A fast but technical mule trail with a few tricky
bits thrown in for good measure! Accommodation:
nomad-style tents, Erg Lihouïdi. These spacious,
carpeted tents make for a comfortable night in the
desert, though you may well wish to sleep out in
the open air beneath the starry sky.
Day 3.
A hearty breakfast and stock of energy bars will see
us through the next piece of mind blowing singletrack!
From Timichi we head for through the Tiziatin Forest
and Gorge. The scenery is amazing if you can take
your eyes off the trail! After lunch head off towards
Tizi n'Test (2092m). A steady climb on singletrack
and dirt track for about an hour then another night
in our Erg Lihouïdi and a BBQ with cold beers.
Day 4.
Another hearty breakfast and stock of energy bars
mixed with singletrack and piste takes us towards
Imlil. Again, the scenery, views and villages you
pass through on this stretch are breathtaking. After
lunch we leave Imlil on more singletrack which will
take us to Amizmiz where we stay in a comfortable
hotel for the night.
Day 5.
From here we head up the Oued Amizmiz Valley to
Azeghour, steady piste riding and stunning scenery.
At Azeghour we head towards Toulkine on the other
side of the river on singletrack all the way to
Adghous. From here the trail becomes more technical
(loose and rocky) until we reach Tiqlit and pick
up a short dirt track to Wadakar. The majority of
this day is on more technical singletrack so even
though it's only about 50km, it's tough!
Day 6.
By now you'll be pretty tired! So after breakfast
we head back towards Marrakech on more twisting
singletrack. Easier than yesterday but still VERY
good! Total ride time today is only about two hours
but still worth every minute. When back at the Jnane
Mogador hotel we freshen up, have lunch and pack
up the bikes. Now is the time to explore the city!
Day 7.
We will take you back to Marrakech airport for your
flight home.
