Sierra Nevada Limite...
Ryan and Simon both had fantastic results in this years very challenging Sierra Nevada Limite race. Ryan managed a brilliant 3rd in Elite and Simon 11th in Masters - After missing the start of the race!
Over 900 participants entered the 107km enduro which started and finished at the Sierra Nevada ski village 2100m above sea level! Racing in the UK...
A respectable 6th in elite at the SAAB Solamon and 3rd in elite at the Sleepless In The Saddle....
The team for the SAAB/Solaman was Simon Turner, Jez Olsen, Ryan Henry and Simon DE. Simon, Jez and Ryan set blistering lap times while Simon DE unfortunately didn't have the fitness to match. Despite this a great result of 6th was obtained and a lesson for Simon DE to get his act together was thought and learnt!
Lesson learnt from the SAAB/Solaman and another strong team was placed in elite. Ryan was taking time off the bike and did some of the cooking and gave us some support. The team this time was Adi, Nige Scott, Matt Barratt and Simon DE. Third place was a great result for us as a spate of bad luck of six punctures and lost rear brake blokes, dropped us below Yeti/Goldtech by a fair margin. However, good humour and the relaxed atmosphere from the riders meant we didn't loose heart and kept plugging away - despite the dreadful weather conditions!
By early morning we'd made up over three laps on our nearest rivals to secure overall third. Hurrah!
