Bike policy
for airlines. Most airlines will charge
between £17.50 and £25 each way. This
might initially seem outrageous but the airline
will give you between 32 and 50kg of EXTRA weight
allowance. Some people try to get away without paying
and succeed! However, bear in mind how disappointed
you'll be if you get to the airport without pre
booking your bike onboard and then being told that
they can't take it! Personally, I'd pay the cash
and have piece of mind! A few things will help you
and the baggage personnel. Firstly, make sure your
bike is either in a bag or box and secondly, remember
how cheap your flight is and that you are embarking
on a never to be forgotten holiday!
Each airline has a slightly different policy. The
links below take you to our favourite airlines policies.
